Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design scalable quantum hardware architectures with error correction protocols
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with academic and industry partners
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure and manage government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers
- Present findings at global quantum summits (Q2C, QCE)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization skills
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong grant writing track record
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for clearances
