Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Conduct experimental research on quantum coherence and error correction techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead quantum security initiatives for next-gen blockchain and cryptography systems
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through quarterly hackathons
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (required)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped-ion systems
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical solutions
