Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NASA grant funding for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Security clearance eligibility for government projects
- Track record of translating theoretical research to commercial applications
