Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and simulation applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum processors with 1000+ qubit capabilities
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at premier quantum conferences
- Secure research funding through NSF, DoE, and private sector grants
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies and IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with published papers in Nature/Science
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and simulators
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary research teams
