Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms leveraging superposition and entanglement principles
- Optimize quantum circuits for NISQ-era hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate quantum prototypes into commercial solutions
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DOE grants for quantum computing research initiatives
- Present findings at global conferences like Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
- Maintain 99.9% uptime in quantum simulation environments
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on joint quantum-ML projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., PRX Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience securing government research grants
- Fluency in Python/C++ and quantum circuit optimization techniques
