Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization problems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure research grants and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Present breakthrough findings at global tech conferences (Q2C, IEEE Quantum)
- Drive intellectual property strategy with 15+ patent applications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum circuit design experience
- Published research in quantum computing or topological quantum systems
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulators
- Demonstrated success in securing NSF or DARPA grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
