Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop IP portfolios with 15+ patents filed by 2028
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in quantum error correction or NISQ-era algorithms
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complexity theory
- Track record of securing quantum computing grants
- Expertise in at least one classical high-performance computing language (C++, Python)
