Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD interns and collaborate with MIT/Stanford quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong track record of translating theory into experimental results
- Security clearance eligibility (for government-funded projects)
