Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of technological evolution as we pioneer quantum computing solutions for 2026 and beyond. We're seeking visionary researchers to decode quantum algorithms, develop error-corrected qubits, and architect next-gen cryptography systems. Collaborate with Nobel laureates in our state-of-the-art lab overlooking the Bay Bridge, where theoretical physics meets practical innovation. Your work will directly shape the quantum landscape for Fortune 500 clients and defense agencies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for scalable qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top-tier journals
- Consult with government agencies on post-quantum security standards
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum mechanics fundamentals
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion traps
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
- Clearance eligibility for DoD projects (or ability to obtain)
- Fluency in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum control systems
