Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into scalable quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors with 100+ qubits
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control engineering
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Strong background in machine learning integration with quantum systems
