Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical real-world applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using IBM Quantum, Rigetti, and D-Wave systems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with AI division to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Q#, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental results
- Entrepreneurial mindset with passion for quantum commercialization
