Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software compatible with superconducting and photonic systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at major international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Secure government grants and private funding to advance quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative field with quantum focus
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing publications
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization skills
