Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation strategies for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research teams in experimental quantum computing
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks and libraries
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral research
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
