Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Publish research in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization
- Published research in quantum information science
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
