Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ in DoE and NSF quantum research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum error correction
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum hardware
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into scalable commercial solutions
