Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical 2026-era applications
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and develop quantum computing curriculum
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing experience
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants
- Passion for translating theoretical quantum concepts into real-world solutions
