Responsibilities
- Develop and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, machine learning, and optimization
- Design error-correction protocols and optimize quantum circuit performance
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software-hardware integration
- Lead research initiatives in fault-tolerant quantum systems and hybrid quantum-classical models
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to lab's technical roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset
