Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 300+ mK temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols achieving >99.9% fidelity in 50-qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $1M+ in annual research funding through NSF/DARPA proposals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (2018-2023)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong background in linear algebra and topological quantum computing
- Proven ability to secure government research grants
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (3+ US patents)
