Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing infrastructure
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum discipline with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong track record of publications in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
