Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop advanced error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction techniques
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or IEEE Transactions
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience with high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
