Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-mitigation strategies to enhance qubit stability in NISQ devices
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Translate quantum research into patentable IP and commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and manage project timelines for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (QASM, Quil)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
