Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems and error correction techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of physicists and engineers to develop quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum computing methodologies

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and information theory
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants or patents
- Excellent problem-solving skills with complex mathematical modeling
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems preferred
