Responsibilities
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Develop novel algorithms for quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual government/industry grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Patent at least 3 quantum encryption methodologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols (NIST standardization)
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum many-body systems
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD projects
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
