Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish peer-reviewed research in leading quantum computing journals
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Mentor junior researchers and drive technical excellence in quantum software development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications

Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Strong track record of collaborative innovation in interdisciplinary teams
- Active DOE QIS clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
