Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum-resistant cryptography standards
- Drive commercial applications of quantum machine learning in finance and logistics
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 first-author papers)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing and gate-based models
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and qubit control electronics
- Track record of securing DoE or NSF quantum research grants
