Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using IBM and Google quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error correction methodologies for fault-tolerant systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through NSF and DoD grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization using Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Hands-on experience with superconducting qubit platforms (IBM Quantum Experience)
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++ and quantum simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
