Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes to achieve 99.9% fidelity in 2026-generation hardware
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid system integration
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature Quantum Information or equivalent
- Translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits using Qiskit and Cirq
- Secure $500K+ in research grants from NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum gate decomposition and circuit optimization techniques
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Quil)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
