Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop scalable quantum processor designs
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation across physics, computer science, and engineering domains
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoD, and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL, etc.)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants and manage complex projects
