Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Q#, Cirq, or Qiskit)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Proven track record of securing research funding
- Experience with high-performance computing frameworks (HPC)
