Responsibilities
- Design and execute cutting-edge quantum computing research projects targeting 2026 industrial applications
- Lead a 12-person multidisciplinary team in developing novel quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to implement quantum solutions in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science
- Develop quantum security frameworks for next-gen data encryption standards
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish industry-wide quantum computing benchmarks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of research experience
- Proven track record in quantum algorithm design and quantum hardware optimization
- Expertise in superconducting qubits, ion traps, or topological quantum computing
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals (minimum 15 papers)
- Experience securing federal/industrial research grants ($2M+ total)
- Strong proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and quantum cryptography
