Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, AI, and molecular modeling
- Direct cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop 2026 roadmap for quantum advantage implementation
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM on quantum hardware integration
- Mentor postdocs in quantum error correction techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control
- Strong background in quantum error correction protocols
