Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm research and development for commercial applications
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with 1000+ qubit capacity
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor junior researchers through quantum computing bootcamps
- Develop patent portfolios for quantum encryption and optimization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quantum computing research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
