Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for scalable qubit systems
- Oversee prototyping of quantum hardware components including superconducting circuits and photonic systems
- Drive cross-functional research initiatives with AI and nanotechnology divisions
- Secure federal and private research funding through grant proposals
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing quantum computing research in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Experience securing $1M+ in research grants or venture funding
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Published patents in quantum information processing or related fields
