Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures supporting 1M+ qubit systems
- Develop cryogenic control systems with sub-10mK operating temperatures
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant operations
- Optimize quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Establish security protocols for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Research emerging quantum materials and superconducting technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing infrastructure design
- Expertise in quantum error correction algorithms (surface/SSW codes)
- Proficiency with cryogenic engineering and superconducting systems
- Strong background in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Security clearance for DOE/NIST quantum initiatives preferred
