Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment horizons
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Drive quantum hardware-software integration with classical HPC systems
- Pioneer error correction methodologies for 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Secure $5M+ R&D funding through strategic whitepapers and investor pitches
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science at our affiliated research lab
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or equivalent with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) on quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record scaling quantum systems beyond 50 qubits with <1% error rates
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Patents in quantum hardware or algorithms (minimum 3 granted)
- Experience securing DoE or NSF quantum computing grants
