Responsibilities
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum processors operating at 1000+ qubit scale
- Design error correction protocols for quantum coherence beyond 2026 benchmarks
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Lead integration of quantum systems with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Drive quantum algorithm optimization for pharmaceutical discovery
- Collaborate with Nobel laureates on quantum supremacy applications
- Secure patents for quantum-resistant encryption methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent with 5+ years quantum architecture experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction (post-2020)
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or D-Wave SDKs
- Proven track record building quantum compilers simulators
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Security clearance for DOE quantum projects preferred
