Responsibilities
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing systems using superconducting qubit technology
- Design error correction protocols for 100+ qubit processors achieving 99.9% fidelity
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $50M+ in government grants and private funding
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Establish industry standards for quantum security protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Expertise in cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Proven track record of scaling quantum systems beyond 50 qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface/colour codes)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience securing federal SBIR/STTR grants
- Fluency in Python/C++ with low-level hardware programming
