Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid system architectures for enterprise applications
- Lead quantum error correction protocol implementation and testing
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence and scalability improvements
- Document quantum system specifications and performance benchmarks
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and research interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing research or industry deployment
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or error correction
- Experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
