Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum circuits using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum system development
- Develop error-correction protocols for 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum accelerators into cloud infrastructure
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture partners
- Secure patents for novel quantum architectures and methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Experience leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
- Strong background in complex systems architecture and distributed computing
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware limitations (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
