Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into executable quantum circuits
- Create performance benchmarks and error mitigation strategies
- Lead open-source contributions to quantum programming frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum computing best practices
- Present findings at industry conferences and academic symposia
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics (PhD preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in Python with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy)
- Strong understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Security clearance eligibility for government-contracted projects
