Responsibilities
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Implement error correction protocols on hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Collaborate with physicists to translate theoretical models into executable code
- Optimize quantum circuits for NISQ-era hardware limitations
- Document breakthroughs in peer-reviewed publications and white papers
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to deploy quantum-resistant encryption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with exceptional experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Familiarity with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
