Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to develop hardware-software co-design strategies
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Research and mitigate quantum error correction vulnerabilities in critical systems
- Develop patent-pending quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Establish industry standards for quantum algorithm benchmarking and validation
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles and ethical deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE variants)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy challenges and NISQ-era constraints
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling (linear algebra, probability theory)
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallelization
