Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning acceleration
- Lead research in quantum neural networks and hybrid quantum-classical architectures

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, NeurIPS)
- Secure federal and private research grants for advanced quantum AI initiatives
- Mentor a team of 3-5 junior researchers in quantum machine learning techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years of research experience
- Published work in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in high-performance computing frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
