Responsibilities
- Design quantum machine learning algorithms for 2026-era AI applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing protocols for neural network acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DoD, and private foundations
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Prototype quantum-AI hybrid systems using 128+ qubit processors
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive technical strategy roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years quantum computing research with qubit manipulation experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor, Grover, VQE) and error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in quantum machine learning or quantum AI
- Experience with superconducting/ion trap quantum hardware
- Strong Python/C++ programming and parallel computing skills
