Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum machine learning projects integrating quantum neural networks with classical AI
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum cryptographic protocols for post-quantum security systems
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit) and theoretical physics
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum computing algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
