Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models for real-world applications
- Develop novel quantum algorithms to exponentially accelerate AI training processes
- Lead experimental validation of quantum neural networks on fault-tolerant hardware
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum-AI co-design architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP/NeurIPS
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA funding
- Contribute to open-source frameworks like PennyLane and Qiskit Terra
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum/AI conferences (QIP, NeurIPS, ICML)
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Proficiency with high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU acceleration
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing government or corporate research grants
