Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-time data processing
- Collaborate with physicists to translate quantum phenomena into computational models
- Lead research on fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum-AI initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- 5+ years in machine learning with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing
