Responsibilities
- Sales & Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assess their project requirements, and recommend the best power equipment or rental packages to meet their needs.
- Product Demonstrations: Operate and demonstrate various power tools, generators, and machinery to ensure customers understand the equipment’s capabilities and safety features.
- Inventory Management: Assist in organizing the showroom, checking inventory levels, and ensuring all equipment is clean, operational, and ready for rental or sale.
- Rental Processing: Process rental agreements, collect payments, and schedule equipment pickups and returns efficiently using our POS system.
- Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries regarding equipment availability, pricing, and technical specifications promptly and professionally.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate equipment turnover and maintenance schedules are followed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or the construction industry is highly preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of power tools, landscaping equipment, or construction machinery is a significant advantage.
- Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet customer demand.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery for demonstration purposes.
