Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision including vital signs, mobility assistance, and hygiene support
- Monitor patient conditions and accurately document observations in electronic health records
- Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfer procedures
- Operate medical equipment including EKG machines, glucometers, and patient monitoring devices
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and respond to emergency situations
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in shift change reports and team huddles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn EHR systems
- Current CPR/BLS certification (training provided if not certified)
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for patient care
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- Background check and drug screen required post-hire
- No prior healthcare experience necessary – training provided
