Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive medical assistant training program covering clinical procedures, patient care, and administrative tasks
- Assist physicians with examinations, injections, and vital sign monitoring under supervision
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests after certification
- Manage patient records and electronic health systems (EHR) training
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Participate in ongoing skill development workshops
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong desire to pursue healthcare career (no experience necessary)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn medical software
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for patients
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be punctual and reliable with training schedule
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain during training
